Medical examinations are required by the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) to obtain US citizenship.  The exam consists of a review of your medical history and a physical examination.  Laboratory testing is also done to check for communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, syphilis, and gonorrhea. Vaccinations will also be reviewed and recommended for your immigration application.
